This Heart Starter app is developed by TrygFonden. Through the map, you can always see the nearest defibrillator location. The same applies to healthcare professionals when you call 1-1-2, so first responders can be guided to the nearest defibrillator if it is close by.

In an acute emergency situation, it is always most important to call 1-1-2 instead of looking for a defibrillator through a mobile app. Calling 1-1-2 connects you directly with a healthcare professional who can guide you in performing CPR.

Each year, around 5,000 people in Denmark experience cardiac arrest outside of the hospital. Currently, barely 10 percent survive. With CPR and rapid defibrillation, it is estimated that many more Danes could survive a cardiac arrest.
